Leaving a Legacy of Love: The Sacred Passage of Life

Life sometimes seems difficult, yet it has a sacred rhythm all its own. It flows with the ups and downs it knows, and we are the observers of that flow. Yesterday I attended the funeral for my mom’s sister, my most favorite aunt. It was tough to say goodbye; she occupies many memories in my treasure bank. Not only that, today, February 14, 2026, is 10 years since my mom left this world.

Tears have been flowing easily this past week and more tonight. Tears seem to be drops of love that just cannot be contained in our hearts. Tears do not make you weak but show your strength and the depths of your love. Yesterday at my aunt’s service, I heard many people speak about the legacy of love she left. I love that!

Today, as I went out into the world, it felt like spring was coming closer.  And yet…

Spring does not rush us into becoming new.
It invites us to remember who we have always been beneath the winter layers.

As the earth softens and the first green breathes through the soil, the angels draw closer in a different way. Their presence becomes tender, luminous, and quietly hopeful. This is the season when love returns to motion. Not loud, not demanding—but steady, faithful, and alive again.

I am awakening. Will you care to join me?

The angels call this remembrance the Legacy of Love.

Not a legacy we leave behind in grand gestures, but one we live into, moment by moment, choice by choice. The way we speak to ourselves. The way we forgive. The way we open our hearts after seasons of closing. The way we let beauty touch us again.

This spring, the angels invite you to become a living inheritance of love.

What Is the Legacy of Love?

The Legacy of Love is the sacred thread that moves through every soul.
It is the memory of divine tenderness placed in you before you ever learned to protect your heart.

It is carried in:

  • The kindness you offer yourself when no one is watching
  • The gentleness you extend in moments of fatigue
  • The courage to soften after disappointment
  • The willingness to believe in goodness again
  • The voice in your head as you speak to yourself

Love is not something you chase. It is something you become.

And every time you choose love over fear, you add another blessing to your living legacy. I hope and pray that we can all begin to do this in bigger and bigger ways. Our world needs us to build our Legacy of Love now!

Tonight, I watched the movie “Song Sung Blue.” It was a beautiful story that had these words and feelings bubbling up in me. Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson played great roles in this story of life with many ups and downs. I loved the Neil Diamond music; it felt like the background story of my life. And yet, what I saw in the movie was the resilience this family showed in coming back from the depths of trauma and hurt, getting back up, and singing again. And to allow love to fill their hearts and to give that out through the songs. It is a movie well worth watching with plenty of tissues. I am in a moment in my life that calls for resilience, and it is time to muster all the angelic help I can to be love, for in being love, my world comes back together, and life is good.

I work on being love in action every day. I now have two Love Legacy mentors in my mom and my aunt, and I know they still watch over me. I am excited to see what messages will flow in time.

Just be LOVE!
